Hyde Park Barracks - Museum Renewal

Originally built in 1819, the 200 year old UNESCO World Heritage Listed building was designed by Australia’s first government Architect, Francis Greenway. Over its long history, the site has been used to house convicts, as an immigration depot, asylum and law court. Zadro Constructions were engaged to help bring the colonial history of the site to life. Working with Sydney Living Museums, Pure Projects, Local Projects and PTW Architects to create a new cutting edge museum, with interactive displays and lighting. The works included bespoke seating, joinery, gift shop and an upgrade of services and amenities.
Hyde Park Barracks - External Lighting

Installation of external lighting to illuminate the entire external facades of the building. The lighting with staged lensing optics, was placed to on the site to illuminate and highlight the form of the classic architecture.
Hyde Park Barracks - Digital Screens

Restoration of the external paving and installation of digital screens to the public entry of the Hyde Park Barracks Museum fronting Macquarie Street.
Sydney Observatory - Third Dome

This is a free standing dome building located adjacent to the main Observatory Building. The construction required the use of the original existing copper dome that was previously located as part of a dome building in a similar location. The Dome was previously stored off site for a number of years and now forms part of a new building with a glass/steel entry enclosure that is sympathetic to the existing heritage listed main building and surroundings. The new building has a ground level entry that allows members of the public with accessibility issues to use the dome building's telescope and view the night skies. This new building also houses a state of the art purpose building telescope with articulated eyepiece specifically for wheelchair access. In addition a small interpretive display about the Third Dome and site was installed. Associated works are also included.
St Patrick's Church Restoration

Originally, Construction started on St Patrick's Church in 1870, in 1888 it was completed without a spire. In the 1930s aspire was erected, which collapsed in the 1960s. Since then the church remained incomplete until in 2018, when Zadro Constructions were engaged to undertake the works, which resulted in the Church being completed and finally Consecrated in March 2019. The works included, the restoration of the Slate and Copper Roof, construction of the spire, restoration of the sandstone and extensions to the church including a sacristy.
St Anthony's Church Restoration

Zadro were engaged to restore the external façade of the church which involved reconstruction of heritage architectural elements.
Billoview Retreat

Restoration of the Federation Home originally built in 1901, The restoration completed under heritage orders to preserve the buildings appearance, while maintaining its use as a retreat, using period materials to complete the works.
Aspects of Leura

Refurbishment and Upgrades of the retail shopping arcade in the heart of historic Leura in the Blue Mountains. The project consisted the facades restoration and reconfiguration to accommodate 7 boutiques and businesses.

Avondale Gold Course
Client: Avondale Golf Course

The Avondale golf course was founded in 1926 and is set in the leafy suburb of Pymble on Sydney's north shore.
Zadro Constructions refurbished the club house and staff offices. We rebuilt and extended the Pro Golf Shop and also constructed new greenkeeper facilities.
Sisters of St Joseph
Client: Sisters of St Joseph, Lochinvar
Location: Summer Hill NSW
This projects consisted of a partial demolition and internal strip out on 2 existing convents built in the 1920s. New works included alterations to existing structure, installation of new bathrooms and bedrooms, and the installation of a new lift service. The project is complete with new carports and associated landscaping.
